Mr. Smith Goes to Washington 4K 1939

Naive idealist Jefferson Smith, leader of a Boy Scout organization, is appointed as a representative to the Senate. He teams up with the senior senator from his state, but doesn't realize how many people around him are playing a double game and doing the bidding of those above him. The naive young senator is confronted with corruption, foul play, mendacity and an engaged press.
