In the year 2028, in Detroit, honest cop Alex Murphy (played by Joel Kinnaman) is fatally wounded while on duty. OmniCorp, in an effort to improve law enforcement, decides to use him as a test subject for their new project, a human-machine hybrid known as RoboCop. Now Murphy, transformed into a cyborg, must fight crime by uncovering conspiracies and trying to regain his humanity despite his technological improvements.
