After surviving the ruthless Hunger Games, Kitniss Everdeen and Pete Mellark return home. But now they are in even more danger, as they have defied the Capitol by their refusal to play by the rules in the Arena. By tradition, the next, anniversary, Hunger Games are supposed to be special, and this time, only the winners from previous years are in attendance. Kitniss and Pete are forced to enter the Arena once again, where they will compete against the strongest. The rules of the game are changing.
